The ST3P-UP Study is a multicenter randomized clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness of virtual peer mentoring in improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare utilization among emerging adults with sickle cell disease.The ST3P-UP Study mentors and advisors complete a comprehensive sickle cell training program via InquisitHealth’s Peer Mentor University™, including multiple standardized patient activities (SPAs).Trained mentors then utilize InquisitHealth’s Mentor1to1™ platform to provide support to adolescents with sickle cell disease through 1-to-1 phone calls and chat conversations.
